Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Renovation in Allison Park
Charming Farmhouse Kitchen with Superior Craftsmanship
This charming farmhouse style kitchen, in Allison Park, PA, blends classic farmhouse elements with elevated craftsmanship, creating a space that is modern, yet full of character. With soft white cabinetry, upscale appliances, and a statement-making island, every detail was thoughtfully designed for this young family to strike the perfect balance between function and style.
White Cabinets with White Quartz Counters
The kitchen features timeless white cabinetry with shaker doors—a staple of modern farmhouse design. These cabinets brighten the space while offering abundant storage, including tall pantry-style towers and decorative upper display cabinets with integrated lighting. The counters are a cream Calacutta Quartz with slight gray graining that beautifully combines the cabinets, appliances and gray subway tile backsplash.
Antique Painted Kitchen Island with Soapstone Countertop
The centerpiece of this kitchen is the expansive island, finished in a weathered gray paint that brings texture and timeless character to the room.
The island is topped with a Silestone Charcoal Soapstone, known for its velvety matte finish and organic veining. Here, the material adds depth and natural beauty without overwhelming the space. Its subtle white veining introduces movement, while the deep tone creates striking contrast against the lighter cabinetry around the perimeter. Beyond style, soapstone is durable, heat-resistant, and wonderfully low-maintenance—making it an ideal work surface for a busy family kitchen.
With seating for four, a built-in sink, and generous workspace, this island effortlessly blends function with the rustic-luxurious appeal of soapstone.
Warm, Ambient Lighting with Vintage Appeal
Two statement chandeliers hang above the island, featuring circular glass accents that catch and reflect light. Their handcrafted, slightly vintage aesthetic elevates the entire kitchen, adding the sparkle and personality that farmhouse spaces are known for.
Soft under-cabinet lighting further enhances the ambiance, illuminating work areas and creating a welcoming glow throughout the room.
High-End Appliances with Farmhouse Functionality
A stainless steel Sub Zero refrigerator anchors the perimeter cabinetry, while a professional-grade gas range and hood complete the cooking zone. Both pieces bring modern performance into this farmhouse-inspired setting. Thoughtfully placed drawers, prep counters, and a nearby microwave drawer enhance everyday usability while maintaining the kitchen’s clean aesthetic.
