High End Basement Renovation in Pittsburgh

This renovation took my client’s basement from concrete walls to a luxury space. My client wanted an upscale and comfortable area to use for every day leisure and entertaining. Their new layout includes a media area, custom bar, bathroom, and gym.

The Media Room

The media room is comfortable for movie nights or for gathering with friend and family. Large format tiles surround the fireplace. Built-in bookcases create a functional, beautiful space for decor.

The Modern Bar

The modern bar boasts black painted cabinets form Bridgewood Cabinetry with quartz countertops. Wood shelves, traditional hardware, and beautiful fixtures add warm and elegance to the space.

The Bathroom

My clients requested an upscale and timeless design for their bathroom remodel. We selected large format porcelain tiles with marble details for the shower, making it beautiful yet easy to clean.

I brought that same grey color to the bathroom vanity, added gold sconces, and selected a faucet and multi-head shower system in a luxe gold finish.

The glass shower walls and door make the room feel spacious, and the built-in linen closet and bank of drawers in the vanity give my client plenty of storage.

The Home Gym

A longtime fitness enthusiast, my client wanted a custom space for exercise and meditation. I incorporated gray to continue the thread from the rest of the basement remodel and added natural wood for both ambience and sound absorption. I also selected a large mirror so he can check his form easily, a feature that amplifies the lighting of the space and prevents it from feeling closed-in.
